Nothing saddens me more about “The Decision” than the underlying premise that the history of the Cleveland Cavaliers consists of 7.1 years: The month of early May to early June in 1989, and the seven years that LeBron played in Cleveland. I grew up a hoops junkie in Cleveland, Ohio. Just like Ray Kinsella in The Field of Dreams, I left home and traveled around the U.S. for one job or another for the next 11 years or so.
