While Danny Granger’s comments about European hygiene come off as very xenophobic, I’m willing [...]

Tracking the media’s predictions of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ record this off-season has been a grueling challenge to say the least. The majority of the estimates have placed the Cavs as a bottom five team in the league, often giving them no more than 25 wins on the season. This negative persistence has taken its toll [...]

Typically whenever a debate over the best NBA draft in history arises, three draft classes stand head and shoulders above the rest: 1984, 1996, and 2003. And why shouldn’t they? The 1984 draft showcased Hall of Famers such as Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, and Charles Barkley, the first two of which accounted for eight straight [...]

Nothing saddens me more about “The Decision” than the underlying premise that the history of the Cleveland Cavaliers consists of 7.1 years: The month of early May to early June in 1989, and the seven years that LeBron played in Cleveland. I grew up a hoops junkie in Cleveland, Ohio. Just like Ray Kinsella in The Field of Dreams, I left home and traveled around the U.S. for one job or another for the next 11 years or so. So begins the fictional Mural of Dreams parody about the elegant history of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
